After last weeks Blue Alpine cocktail I decided to see what else I could create with Blue Curacao. Happy hour yesterday was a hot, sunny day and a margarita sounded pretty good but I wanted to put a twist on it.
Tequila, Blue Curacao and lime is pretty much a typical margarita. I started with a smooth tequila like Milagro Silve, added Chartreuse yellow for it’s honeyed herby-ness and rounded it all out with a few dashes of grapefruit bitters.
It was pretty refreshing and perfect for a hot sunny afternoon.
1oz Blanco Tequila
1oz Blue Curacao
1oz Chartreuse Yellow
1 oz lime
2-3 dashed grapefruit bittersAdd ingredients to ice filled shaker, Shake for 30 seconds to mix and chill. Strain ice filled glass. Sugar rim not necessary, but makes a pretty presentation.
